cardiac issues

Postby vframe » Mon Jun 11, 2012 9:15 pm

hi all, my name is vanessa, and i am a "newby". i have a question, has anyone experienced any cardio issues? i started having some high blood pressure, swelling, and heart rate that was initially sporatic, but now seems to be continous. my pcp put me on a bp med and did labs, listened to my heart and lungs, said they sounded great, my labs were all normal, sodium/potassium all really good. i have read some articles that say you can have this but nothing giving more info than "possible symptom".
any help would be greatly appreciated.

I've had high blood pressure off and on for at least a year now. Most days it used to always be just below normal now I'm having more and more instances when it goes up. Last week at one point it spiked to 203/96. I notice the highest pain days also seem to be the hardest days for my heart. On those days being up moving around my heart will race after 5 or 10 minutes. sometimes sooner. Days that aren't quite so bad I can be up till the severe pain kicks in, maybe 20-30 minutes tops. In those cases my heartrate and blood presssure usually don't get as high. Don't know if this helps, just my experience.

karen,
i have, not associated the pain with the blood pressure/hr. i have not been dx'd that long and probably had the syrinx for longer than i knew, but anyway, i didn't know if should approach this to my doc. i have an appt with my pain specialist next week. i have started keeping a pain log and listing my symptoms especially the "weird" ones including the cardio issues.
