Happy Easter & Surgery is scheduled

Postby kimbalock » Sun Mar 23, 2008 10:42 am

Thanks to all of you who have e-mailed since I joined. I feel like I'm not alone in my struggles with the CM. I met with my NS on 3/4 and we decided to go ahead with decompression surgery. My CINE flow MRI did show an obstruction. Although my herniation is small, he feels the symptoms along with the CINE flow are classic Chiari. I will be having my surgery on April 2nd. Only 10 days away.

I'm feeling anxious about it but, at the same time, excited to think I might actually get my life back.

Anyway, for those of you who asked, I'm from Southern Maryland.

Thanks, again, for your support. I hope everyone has a wonderful Easter. We've been busy moving into a new home so that's been good to take my mind off of the upcoming surgery.

Be well,
Kim from Maryland
CM dianosed 2/08
disk herniations at C5/6 and C6/7
Decompression surgery scheduled for April 2, 2008

Kim,

Good Luck! My prayer is that your surgery goes as well or even better than mine did. Let me know if you need to talk before it. For me the last couple of days before the surgery were the hardest emotionally for me. So far I am 200 percent happy with my out come. I am getting more mobility/balance every day. Of course no complications has been a great help to that happiness.

Here's hoping that everything goes well, that the recovery is quick, and that it gives you significant relief.
