icp pressure monitoring readings...

Postby emmacos » Fri Apr 27, 2012 11:31 am

Hi All,

Helen is in hospital and is having the icp pressure monitoring. As far as I can see the pressure looks fine on the box by her bed - between 3 and 10 when she's lying down, and when she sits up (which she struggles to do because the pain in her head is so bad) it goes to like -1 but I think that is fine isn't it?

Her head pain is agony at the moment - particulary when she sits up. She's having to have morphine regularly. What is causing this pain if her csf pressure is within normal limits?

Emma.
