MRI and Tremors

Postby dblct » Wed Jun 27, 2012 12:41 pm

My last MRIs were of low quality because of my tremors/muscle spasms during the test. Has anyone else had this problem and has your NL/NS given you anything to quite the muscles to get better images? Thanks for your help.

Howdy do!

Dang, you're describing the MRI I had right before I was diagnosed. I'd been through 10 years of them, and the ones in August of 2007 were the first in which the technician had to keep telling me to lie still! I thought I was - heck, I was even holding my breath.

The following weekend, I had my first big bout of myoclonus - felt & looked like a seizure, and scared me half to death! I now take 2 mg of Clonazepam (aka Klonopin) every night, and it really helps keep my muscles quiet and well-behaved through the night and (provided I don't over-exert myself) through the following day.

Good luck!
