Think of me next Monday, please!

Postby hartagold23 » Wed Jul 11, 2007 10:20 am

Hi everyone,

I got the call this morning that I will have my second surgery next Monday! This is to plug a CSF leak that sprung from the bottom of my spine from the May 24 TCS surgery. I'm told this kind of leak is common. My doctor said it's just going to get worse and cause more pain, so it must be done. I have no idea if it will actually work, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I'd appreciate your prayers.

Thanks,

Barb

Thanks, y'all. Guess I probably shouldn't have been put on those heavy weight machines in physical therapy. I was grunting and pushing--no wonder I popped my dura sac! Will have to do things differently this time around!

Barb,

I forgot to add this, I don't know what they are using for your leak. On my sister's botched surgery (one of them) they used muscle tissue from her tricep to fix it. Her arm hasn't been the same but it did work.

She has cm and sm, but I can't get her to talk about it.

Barb,

My prayers are with you. Please let us know how you do.

BTW, when I said my sister's was patched with the bicep muscle material? That was for one of the shunt surgeries.

Best of luck, and I'll be thinking of you all day.
