Spread Awareness

Tired of no one knowing what CM and SM are? Now is your chance to do something about it! ASAP is sponsoring National Coins for The Cure Day on Saturday, October 10, 2009. We are asking volunteers to set up outside your local Walmart, grocery store, mall, etc and hand out bookmarks explaining the disorder and collect donations to help those affected by SM and CM.

We are setting up a map and hope to have representation in all 50 states. The more people participate, the bigger the impact! If you are interested in participating, email the office at info@asap.org. We'll send you a form to fill out and send back to our office, then you will receive a letter to bring to your local stores that says you are representing ASAP. Then we will get you on the map, too! Ask a friend to set up at another location, and you have doubled the impact- ask 2 friends and you have tripled it!

Join the Coin Club and let's spread the word about Chiari and SM and raise money at the same time!!! http://www.asap.org/2009/coins_cure.html

If you have questions, email me at Sara_patterson@ASAP.org This is a great activity for the whole family! Please join us in this important effort!

Hi Sara!

This is a great idea! I am not available this day. Is it possible to do this type of awareness project on our own on a different day?

Of course! Holly collected coins outside of Walmart a couple years ago for only 4 hours- she raised $900 for ASAP! You can hold your coin day the week before or the week after and we can still count it! Some restaurants are putting up coin jars all month in support of the event- so there are a lot of options. Thanks for getting involved! This is one of those things that will only work if we all pull together!
