Ear pressure, popping

Postby jackiemb » Wed Mar 19, 2008 9:08 am

For the past couple of months, my son's ears have been driving him crazy. They feel full, pop sometimes and make it hard for him to hear. He is 9 and was decompressed a year and a half ago. The NSG said this isn't a common Chiari symptom, but I have seen it listed before. The pediatrician says the middle ear is fine. Has anyone had this experiece? Has anyone found anything that helps?

Thanks,
Jackie (Ethan's mom)

Hi Jackie,

There was a recent post on another forum about this. I'm thinking it was maybe a month or so ago. You can probably search on ears ringing/popping, or similar, and find the post. I believe it was mentioned that it could be related to increased pressure or CSF.

Take care and I hope Ethan gets relief from this soon. It's very annoying.
GOD Bless!

My daughter mentions this a lot! Also a "crackling" sound. Sounds like Chairi to me.
