Any activities to avoid?

Postby lhodnett73 » Sun Jun 29, 2008 8:31 pm

2 of my girls ( 6 and 9 ) have thoracic syringomyelias and thoracic tethered cords. Currently they are not in pain or experiencing symptoms. Are there certain activities to avoid that could worsen their conditions?

Anything that involves heavy lifting, strenuous activities, and absolutely no straining. If they are engaged in anything and begin to experience pain, they should immediately stop whatever it is they are doing. You might want to speak with teachers regarding their limitations.

If I think of anything else I'll contact you.

Take care,
GOD Bless!
