Good thoughts requested

Postby karenb » Tue Mar 08, 2011 11:26 pm

Hi All,

As you may know, my mother passed away at Thanksgiving. My father has been having a very difficult time sincer her passing, between heart disease, Parkinson's, and Alzheimer's.

This past weekend, while I was feeding him lunch, my father apparently aspirated. He became much worse last night, and today has been a round-about of doctors, nurses, and various specialists.

The end result is that my father has aspirated and will be admitted to Hospice care tomorrow. Right now, my heart and soul are both crying out in anguish at the mere thought of his passing - yes, I was definitely a "Daddy's Girl"!

I would greatly your keeping my Dad and me in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

Thank you in advance, from the bottom of my heart.

Karen

I'm so sorry Karen. I will be sending positive energy down to you. When my Dad passed at almost 85, people said, oh he lived a long life, yes, but I don't care if he was 185, he was my Daddy and I don't ever want him to go, so I know how you feel.

Take care of yourself during this difficult time,
Wendi

You & your dad are in my thoughts & prayers too Karen. My sister & mom went through hospice. I'm so sorry that you've had to deal with so much sorrow, along with your own devastating trials & tribulations. My heart goes out too you as well.

Take care, love & hugs!
GOD Bless!

My father passed away Friday afternoon at 4:15 Mountain Standard Time. He remained a private man 'til the end - he waited until everyone had left the room before he passed away.

I've spent the past day or so notifying family, making funeral preparations, and trying to compose myself.

Thank you for your ongoing love, support and prayers.

Hi Karen,

Sending my condolences and prayers your way! I am so very sorry to hear of another loss, so recent, for you. He is now with your mom, and you have both of them watching over you. I wish I could be there to give you a shoulder to lean on, and support. You have my prayers, and can contact me by email (janice_92129@yahoo.com), if you need to reach out to someone. I'm in California, don't remember where you are, in case there's a time difference from where you are. I'll try to get back to you as soon as possible, just know that I can't always sit-up to type and I sleep a lot (95% bed-ridden), but I'm here and will do my very best.

Take care, Prayers, Love & Gentle Hugs coming your way!
GOD Bless!
Janice

Dear Karen:

So very sorry for your loss. It should help a small bit to know that he and your Mom are together again with no pain and he has his mind back. They are now watching over you like Janice says. You are in my prayers that you are kind to yourself in the days to come and the memories of them make you smile, not cry.
