Thanks Roz! Do you know of any doctors at Duke University in NC? She is closer to Duke, although she is really impressed with Dr. Oakes in Alabama. Just researching all their options...

She was admitted to University of Alabama Children's Hospital on Friday after her appointment and her surgery is scheduled for Monday morning. She has severe sleep apnea and was just diagnosed with Chiari about a week ago. They are so concerned about the apnea they admitted her to keep an eye on her until the surgery.

I do have sm/cm and had decompression surgery in May 2011. Her surgery went well, now we just have to wait and see how the surgery affects her breathing. Hoping it will improve!!!
