Vision Problems with SM

Postby Debbieducati » Thu Jun 07, 2007 8:32 pm

I was diag. about 1.5 years ago with Post Tram CM from C5-7. It only took a year to be diag. Anyway for the last few months this has happened three times. My vision in my right eye, I have lost it completely for seconds. Then when it comes back, my vision is blurry for about 10 min., then I am fine. Now remember I have not been fully diagnosed. I have only seen one NL. I have not been ruled out form CM yet. I am still waiting for my records so I can go to Colorado to see a specialists. Any thoughts.

Sincerely; Debbieducati

Yes, I agree with Keesha. I would get in to see a neuro ophtamologist ASAP. I am seeing one currently as I have symptoms of increased intracranial pressure with associated visual changes. There are those out there that have lost vision permanently due to prolonged untreated increased ICP. I'm not saying that is what you have but vision is nothing to mess around with.

Take care,

I agree withthe others. get this checked out. You don't want to take a chance with anything to do with your vision.

What meds are you on? Some meds can cause vision problems.

Thank you all for the advise. I will check with Kaiser to see if they even have a neuro-Opthamoligist, If not I will have to go outside of my insurance again. They only meds I am on right now is Oxicodone 10mg twice daily. I just started this three weeks ago. Before that Vicodin off and on. The eye problem started before I started the daily meds. Because it has only happened twice and for only a second. I wasn't sure if it ment anything. (ICP) I did not even think of that. My Neuro Dr. said to me three week ago, I have no reserve. I'm not sure what that ment. Now I think I do.

Thank you; Love to all
