What is the name of the conference hotel?

Hotel Check-in time is 4:00 pm local time. Check-out time is 12:00 am local time. Special arrangements can be made for early check-in or late check-out based on availability.

What is the room rate?

$134 plus tax and fees per night. Individual attendees must make their hotel reservations directly with Marriott reservations. Registered conference attendees will be given hotel reservation information shortly after their registration is received by the ASAP office. If you have any problems, please let us know. Parking

Valet parking is available to event and overnight guest utilizing hotel parking facilities: Daily parking (up to 8 hours, vehicle must be retrieved within same day) – currently $24.00 plus 22.5% tax per vehicle/per day. Overnight parking currently- $45.00 plus 22.5% tax per vehicle/per day(overnight rate includes in and out privileges). Parking rates are subject ot change.

New 540-car parking garage is adjacent to the recently expanded Pennsylvania Convention Center and just steps from the Masonic Temple, Criminal Justice Center, City Hall, Municipal Services Building, Market Street office buildings, hotels, restaurants, and more. With convenient entrances on Juniper and Arch Streets and convenient to I-676, I-95 and I-76 and we’re open 24 hours a day 7 days a week.

What is the last day to reserve a room at the discounted rate?

Rooms must be reserved on or before July 8, 2019 to receive the discounted rate. A limited number of rooms are available at this rate. If the room block fills before the cut-off date we cannot guarantee this room rate.

Do I have to stay at the conference hotel?

No. Staying at the Notary offers the convenience of being near the conference proceedings and benefits the organization. You will also have the opportunity to spend social time with other attendees.

Driving directions
Take Interstate 95 North to Interstate 676 West and exit at Broad Street (Route 611). Stay in the left lane and take the first left turn onto Vine Street. Continue on Vine Street to 12th Street and turn right. Proceed to Market Street and turn right. Follow Market Street toward City Hall and the hotel will be on the right immediately after the first traffic light.

What is the registration fee for attending the conference?
Due to a generous sponsor, we have been able to reduce the registration fee this year.
Early Registration:
Adults 16 & up: $160 each
Children ages 5 – 15: $65
Family pack: two adults and two children: $400
No charge for children under 5, over 15 years must register as an adult.
The fees include: all lectures and workshops, Wednesday evening buffet, breakfast Thursday, Fridaya and Saturday and Friday evening banquet meal.

We do not want to attend the banquet, can we get a reduced rate?

You can register using the day rate at $50 per day. This will include the group breakfast.

Can I come for only one day?

Yes. If you are not able to attend the entire conference, you can pay by the day.
The day rate is $50. Registration fee includes the group breakfast.

Can my family/friends who are not attending the conference come to the Saturday night banquet?

Yes. You can purchase a ‘banquet only’ ticket for $60.

When is the last day to register?

You can register online, by phone, or through the mail until July 12, 2018. After that date, you may register on site.

Can I get a refund if something happens and I cannot attend?

Yes. If you have to cancel before June 30, you will receive a refund minus a $25 handling fee. We are not able to give refunds after June 30 because we have to commit numbers for food.

Can children attend the conference?

Absolutely, we encourage you to think of the conference as a family event. We have special sessions for children and teens (5 – 16 years) with Chiari, syringomyelia or related disorders as well as siblings and children whose parents are affected. When one member of the family is diagnosed, it affects everyone! The conference allows patients, family and friends to interact and share with others who understand their unique perspectives.

When does the conference end?

The agenda is still in development at this writing. However, plans are to end around noon on Saturday. As soon as the agenda is completed, it will be available on the website.
