In addition to their mission of providing free airline transportation for a child who must travel out-of-state for specialized medical care, They are expanding their scope of services by providing travel for children and their parents to attend medical conferences so they may learn more about a new diagnosis, or to obtain knowledge about treatment options and additional resources to assist in their child’s care. Miracle Flight will provide round-trip commercial airline transportation for the child and one, or both parents, as long as the family qualifies financially, as they assist economically disadvantaged families. They do require that the child have a scheduled medical treatment/consultation appointment with an M.D. at some time during the conference duration, which must be documented by that physician.

If a family would like to apply for free flights to attend the 2014 ASAP’s Chiari and Syringomyelia Conference on July 23-26, 2014, please refer them to our website, www.miracleflights.org, and advise them to click the link on the Home Page that says “Request a Flight”. They will be directed to the page where there are links to documents that must be downloaded, completed, and faxed to us. Please note, that in order for Miracle Flights to be able to provide travel arrangements, the patient must have an established medical appointment with a medical provider in the city of the conference. We ask that all documents be submitted from the family, as well as the required documents from both physicians, at least 10 business days prior to the departure date. However, we should still be able to provide assistance on shorter notice, if necessary, but we ask that applicants provide as much lead time as possible. Please note that no documents may be signed or dated older than 60 days prior to the first scheduled appointment. This provides us with the most lead time possible. We cannot coordinate flights until all required documents are received. If a family is uncertain whether or not they qualify financially, please have them first call our office before completing the documents to ensure eligibility.
