Do you feel isolated and alone? Do you wish you could talk to someone who is going through similar circumstances? If so, then a virtual support group may be the thing for you!
The Outreach telephone support groups are available for members to meet and talk with others to share stories, ideas, and coping strategies.
Each support group has 6 to 10 members that meet once a month in a telephone conference call. The call is free and lasts for one hour. There is a moderator to help facilitate the meeting and ensure that everyone gets a chance to talk and ask questions.
The groups are organized with different meeting times and include people of like interests i.e. a group of parents, caregivers, or patients with similar problems.
The purpose of these groups is to provide support. Participants are not medical doctors and cannot give medical advice. We ask that all members keep the conversations confidential. What happens in the group, stays in the group!
Each participant is responsible for calling in at the designated time. You will be given a toll free number and a designated day and time to call into your group.
